I have edited books at Simon & Schuster, Alfred A. Knopf, Vintage,
Pantheon, Ballantine, and Harmony. In 1989 I founded Bell Tower, where, as editorial director, I have published
seventy books in ninety-three editions. My own two books,
Nothing
Left Over: A Plain and Simple Life and
Caught in
the Act: Reflections on Being, Knowing, and Doing,
were published by Tarcher/Putnam in 2002 and 2004.
